• Biographical Sketch
- B.S. degree (1987) from Paris VI University.
- National School of Chemistry of Paris (ENSCP) in 1989.
- M.S. degree from Aix-Marseille II University (1990).
- Ph.D. (1993) in Organic and Physical Chemistry from Université de la Méditerranée (Marseilles). His studies were focussed on T-type photochromes such as chromenes and naphthooxazines.
Essilor International-PPG Industries offered him a grant for an industrial post-doctoral stay on tunable ophthalmic lenses.
He moved to Bordeaux University as a research associate and was promoted to Associate Professor at the Laboratory of Organic and Organometallic Chemistry in 1998.
In 2002 he was appointed to Professor in Supramolecular Chemistry, Bordeaux University and developped photoswitchable NLOphores and gelators. He recently developed new photo responsive heterogeneous catalysts.
